Website privacy

TheSideJourney is made by José Ustra, part of Songscape. This notice covers thesidejourney.com. The apps linked from this website have their own privacy information.

Optional analytics

With your permission, we use Rybbit to understand how people use this website and help improve it. The analytics script is served through this website’s first-party proxy. It loads only after you accept analytics. You can browse without accepting.

Rybbit can collect information such as visited pages, referring websites, browser and device information, and approximate location derived from the network connection. Cookieless analytics still involves processing information about visits. See Rybbit’s privacy information for details about the service.

Your choice

Accepting enables analytics; rejecting keeps it off. We store either choice in your browser’s local storage under thesidejourney-analytics-consent-v1, with an expiry time of 180 days. This preference stays on this website’s origin and is not shared with the app websites.

If browser storage is unavailable, your choice applies to the current page only. When a saved choice expires, we ask again and keep analytics off until you accept.

Changing your mind

Use “Analytics preferences” in the footer to accept or reject at any time. Withdrawing permission after analytics has loaded reloads the page to stop the running tracker. Other open tabs on this website also respond to saved preference changes. Withdrawal stops future analytics; it does not erase information already collected.
